Frequently asked questions

The practical details, in plain English. If your question is not here, contact Annette.

Can I look around without joining?

Yes. You can browse every profile, watch every introduction video, and see rates and verification status without an account or payment.

How do I join during the beta?

Membership is by invitation while the site is in beta. Request an invitation and tell Annette what brought you here. An invitation is not automatic, but requesting one is free.

Will I be charged after my free six months?

No card is collected during the beta. Paid membership is planned at $4.99 USD a month or $49.90 USD a year. We will ask you to choose a plan and provide payment details before any paid membership begins.

What does membership include?

One membership unlocks contact details for everyone listed on the site. It does not include exercise sessions.

How do I arrange and pay for a session?

You and the buddy or trainer agree directly on the time, video-call app, session length, price, currency, payment method, cancellation terms, and refunds. Exercise Buddy Finder never handles session payments or takes a commission.

What if someone does not reply or is not right for me?

You may contact someone else without paying another directory fee. If a person repeatedly fails to reply or misses an agreed session, tell Annette so the listing can be reviewed.

What is a verified fitness trainer?

It is someone whose listed fitness credential Exercise Buddy Finder has checked. The profile shows the credential and check date. Verification is not a medical qualification, background check, or guarantee that the person is right for every kind of exercise.

What is an exercise buddy?

An exercise buddy is an uncertified person who exercises alongside you, keeps you company, counts repetitions or intervals, and encourages you. They do not design workouts, choose weights, or correct technique.

What does “available now” mean?

It means the person has switched themselves on and is ready to receive messages. It does not guarantee they can begin a session immediately. If their availability page is quiet for 30 minutes, the site switches them off.

Which video app do we use?

You decide together. Profiles show the kinds of calls a person accepts. Before the first session, agree on the app and ask for help setting it up if you need it.

Do I need equipment or a large room?

Not necessarily. It depends on the activity you choose. Make enough clear space to move safely, keep a phone nearby if you live alone, and tell the person what equipment and space you have before the session.

Is Exercise Buddy Finder for adults only?

Yes. The service is for people aged 18 and over.

Can a buddy or trainer advise me about medication or an injury?

No. Nobody may diagnose, treat an injury, interpret symptoms, or advise you about medication, doses, or side effects. Ask your own healthcare professional, and stop exercising if something hurts.

How do I report a safety or conduct problem?

End the call if you feel uncomfortable, then contact Annette through the Contact & Support page. If someone is hurt or seriously unwell right now, contact the emergency service appropriate for their location first.

How do I delete my account or request?

Email privacy@exercisebuddyfinder.com and ask. Your account and the information attached to it will be deleted.
