Exercise Buddy Finder

Terms

Last updated August 5, 2026. Written in plain English on purpose. A lawyer has not reviewed this yet, and it will be tightened before we take real payments.

What we do

We introduce you to independent people who will exercise with you on video. We are an introduction service and nothing more. We do not employ them, supervise them, schedule them, set their prices, or take a share of what you pay them.

What we charge for

Membership gives you contact details for everybody listed. It does not buy you any sessions, and it is not a payment towards any. Anything you pay a buddy is between you and them.

Cancel any time, in one click. Ask for a refund and you will get one. We would rather give your money back than have you feel stuck.

Nobody here is a medical professional

Our buddies and trainers are not doctors, nurses, dietitians, or physical therapists. Nothing they say is medical advice, and they are not allowed to give any. In particular they must never advise you about your medication, diagnose anything, or treat an injury.

If you take a weight-loss medication, have a heart condition, have osteoporosis, get dizzy, have fallen recently, or have been unwell, talk to your own doctor before you start. Tell your buddy what your doctor said you should avoid. If anything hurts, stop.

Exercise carries risk, and you accept it

Moving your body can cause injury, and doing it on a video call means nobody is in the room with you. You take part at your own risk, and you are responsible for deciding what is safe for you on any given day.

Certified and not certified

Where a buddy is described as a certified trainer, we have checked that certification with the body that issued it, and we say when we checked. Where a buddy is described as an exercise buddy, they hold no fitness qualification and are not offering instruction. Both are labelled clearly, in words, on every profile.

Telling us when something goes wrong

If a buddy gives medical advice, promises results, pushes you past what feels safe, or behaves in any way that makes you uncomfortable, tell us. Use the suggestion button on any page or email hello@annettethompson.com. We suspend first and ask questions afterwards on anything involving your safety.

Behaving decently

Our buddies are working people, often in countries where this income matters a great deal. Treat them as you would want to be treated. Harassment of anybody, in either direction, ends an account immediately.

This site is in beta

Things will change and some of them will be broken. That is what the suggestion button is for, and we genuinely read every message that comes through it.
